It took 5 days and over two thousand people to fight the raging fire across Cape Town’s southern Peninsula. It broke out above Muizenberg on the 1.3.2015 and spread rapidly as strong winds carried the fire further, affecting 5 500 hectares of land. Definitely one of the scariest moments of our lives. Now this is a throwback back to January 1980. A trip to Cape Town and of course up to the top of the iconic Table Mountain using the cableway. This cable car model was introduced in 1977 and ran until 1997 when it was replaced with the most recent model which has 360° revolving floors.
